Dutch ticketing startup Tiqets has landed a $23 million in a Series B funding round led by HPE Growth Capital with participation from existing shareholders. The fresh funding brings the total amount raised by the company to $44 million.
Founded in 2015, Tiqets has developed a mobile-first booking platform that connects customers with over 2,000 venues in 140 cities, as well as tours and other activities. The company stated that in August 2018 the platform processed bookings from about 500,000 people, while the total number of tickets booked has reached 7 million.
“Tiqets invested heavily in its technology in the last years, which paid off, said Luuc Elzinga, CEO of Tiqets. “We will continue to do this and keep improving our mobile booking experience, as over 70 percent of our customers book on mobile. Next to our own B2C platform, we support our venues by developing the best solutions to improve their own customer experience, provide them with technology that helps increase conversion onsite, and increase the CLTV (Customer Lifetime Value).”
Tiqets is headquartered in Amsterdam and has offices in Philadelphia, Bangkok, Paris, London, Barcelona, Rome, and Vienna.
