Belgian drone traffic management startup Unifly raises €14.6 million

Antwerp-based drone traffic management startup Unifly has raised €14.6 million in funding from QBIC, PMV, Terra Drone, and the Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS), the German national air navigation service provider. The startup plans to use the money to expand sales internationally.

Unifly's product is an unmanned traffic management (UTM) system that allows integrating low-altitude drones into the airspace. The platform allows the authorities to visualise and approve flight plans and manage no-fly zones in real time.

“DFS and Unifly share the same vision about what needs to be done to enable this dynamic drone market,” said Klaus-Dieter Scheurle, CEO of DFS. “ the unique combination of the leading UTM software provider and our know-how as one of the major air navigation service providers in Europe.”
