Remember we promised something special for the 100th episode of the podcast? Well, this is it — we’ve managed to gather almost everyone from the founding team of tech.eu:
- Alex Barrera, founder and CEO of The Aleph Report and Press42, and professor in marketing and innovation.
- Jon Bradford, former managing director of Techstars London, co-founder of Ormeau Baths and F6S, founding partner at Motive Partners.
- Robin Wauters, founding editor of tech.eu, a former editor at Techcrunch and The Next Web, and a lot of other things.
- Roxanne Varza (interviewed separately), director of Station F in Paris, formerly of Microsoft Ventures and Techcrunch France.
The 100th episode of the podcast comes just a few weeks after the fifth anniversary of tech.eu itself, so we thought it’s a good excuse to talk about us a little bit. Listen to the founding team talking about how the idea of the publication came by, and what things were like in the European tech ecosystem five years ago.
Also, here are the recommendations of this episode:
- Elon Musk’s most important employee is a Lumberjack, a tweetstorm by Mekka Okereke.
- Shoe Dog, a book by Phil Knight.
- Exponential View, a newsletter and podcast by Azeem Azhar.
- Silent Spring, a book by Rachel Carson; The Grapes of Wrath, a book by John Steinbeck.
- Kai-fu Lee: No hope for Europe’s artificial intelligence sector, a Q&A by Carly Minsky.
