Say hello to Simon McDermott, a longtime friend and early tech.eu investor and advisor - he is now properly joining the team to work on a number of business development initiatives in the near future!
You may have seen him on stage yesterday at The Big Squeeze (formerly known as Belgium's 'Tech Startup Day'), already representing tech.eu like a pro! Score indeed.
Simon is Irish and kicked off his career in sales for some big companies like Cisco and Intel before starting and leading companies in Brussels, most notably social media analytics pioneer Attentio (which is where and how I first met him). He went back to the UK to lead Brandwatch's European bizdev operations, before jumping back into the startup world after relocating once more, this time to Prague.
We're delighted to have Simon, with his entrepreneurial and business development chops, joining tech.eu to grow our business and work on exciting new projects.
