London-based Cognism raises $10 million in Series B to arm sales with AI and conquer Asia

Cognism, an end-to-end sales acceleration platform that is using patented AI technology to streamline prospecting for B2B sales teams has raised $10 million in Series B. The round was led by New York-based PeakSpan Capital. Its recent financing brings the startup’s total funding to over $16.5 million and will be used to expand to new markets and strengthen the startup’s machine learning team.

Cognism will use the funds from the recent round to expand its team and open offices in North America (Boston) and Asia (Singapore), the latter being seen as particularly interesting by Cognism’s CEO, James Isilay, who believes in the potential of a relatively young local SaaS market. Cognism has already acquired two blue-chip financial clients in the region with the help from investors.

The company has already created its own AI engine, Revenue AI to provide a breakthrough in how data can be structured to facilitate lead generation. James Isilay, Cognism’s CEO is giving an answer to the question what comes next for Cognism:

“Having been granted our first machine learning patent in December 2018, Cognism is now building a portfolio of IP which will drive the next evolution of sales and marketing technology.”
