Oulu, Finland-based ConTech GBuilder raises €2 million, nails down international expansion

Construction technology company GBuilder has successfully completed a new €2 million financing round that is expected to accelerate expansion in their target markets, primarily the UK and DACH regions.

The round was led by AMAVI Capital and saw participation from existing investors Butterfly Ventures and Vendep Capital.

GBuilder is a building information modeling (BIM) compatible software package designed for both residential and commercial developers. It digitises the customer journey including the choice of materials and modification, provides visualisations, and streamlines the communication processes.

The ConTech platform counts over 30,000 housing units processed, with Scandinavia’s largest residential developers including YIT, Bonava, and Hartela all using the software.

"The international construction industry is now clearly undergoing a period of transition in terms of both practices and values," says Jarmo Ollila, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer. "The challenge is dual: to provide a unique customer experience while managing internal processes reliably and efficiently. We can provide a unique solution that creates benefits for the whole value chain.”

“GBuilder's proven traction in Europe convinced us of the company’s growth potential, AMAVI Capital sees an exceptional tool that generates a unique customer experience, while at the same time streamlining the complex execution processes in the back-office and on the construction site,” adds AMAVI Capital managing partner Arne Allewaert.
