Netherlands-based iMoto BV, a connected mobility company, has been acquired by London-HQed auto IoT solutions company ULU.(source - Silicon Canals.)
iMoto's connectivity stack is used by 100,000 bikes, cars and last-mile vehicles, offering over-the-air firmware and cybersecurity updates.
Following the acquisition, ULU is planning to refresh its vehicular telematics platform by adding iMoto compatibility for over 1,000 OEM vehicular models.
ULU was founded in 2014. It aims to provide end-to-end IoT coverage for automotive products, including connected hardware, software and cloud services.
With offices in the Netherlands, Slovenia and China as well as London, ULU's existing portfolio include its GPS corporate automotive fleet tracker, Cartracker, which has more than 15,000 active subscriptions.
iMoto BV co-founder Hielke Ytsma said: "By integrating iMoto with ULU a full and end-to-end proposition can be offered, including cloud services and software applications. We are excited to join forces with ULU and add value to their existing product line-up.”
