Ghent's Funkey recently collected €1 million from financial services firm ING, PMV and five angel investors.
Funkey is a team building exercise facilitator, connecting colleagues at various white-label events from one of its 200 Belgian partners.All these events have been indexed into its team-building search engine, allowing easy access for HR teams.
Last year Funkey launched a software app that directly integrates into the HR department's workflow to produce budget and policy papers on team building sessions.
According to the company, last year saw Belgian employers increase team building spends by 66% by comparison to pandemic-era equivalents. A translated copy of its press release said it's now expanding into the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
