Barcelona's Caravelo raises €3.5M for airline subscription solutions

Barcelona-based traveltech firm Caravelo’s solution creates extra income for flight operators and helps to see them through the quiet seasons. By providing subscription solutions to firms like Volaris, Wizz Air and Alaska Airlines, Caravelo can increase revenue and deliver a great customer experience.

Founded in 2015 by Iñaki Uriz and José Luis Vilar, the traveltech company claims it saw revenue grow more than one hundred percent Year-on-Year for the past three years, and the company valuation has increased 50 percent in the past year. The firm has just raised a €3.5 million Series A round of funding, which was led by Samaipata, and includes participation from Adara Ventures and other existing investors.

“Caravelo's product is miles ahead from anything else out there, and is the only logical, enterprise-grade, choice for travel subscriptions,” says Luis Garay, Partner at Samaipata. “The company’s positioning as an industry leader, and their impressive pipeline, makes it a very attractive investment for us.”

“This investment will give Caravelo the tools it needs to meet the growing demand for travel subscriptions, allowing us to continue the expansion of the team and the development of our platform,” says Uriz.
