Klarna, the payments giant, has today moved into its new London headquarters, billed as the “world’s largest co-working space” with proximity to the river Thames so employees can conduct “walk and talk” meetings.

The Swedish fintech, most well-known for its BNPL offering, has moved from WeWork Holborn to WeWork Waterloo, just a one-minute walk from Waterloo station.

It is understood the new office will provide Klarna with more space for its London-based team.

The layout of its new office will also support its cross-function teams so they can work together in a single space.

Additionally, the new office provides more breakout spaces for teams to work together.

Located just off the South Bank, the office is also ideally located so staff can carry out “walk and “talk” meetings along the Thames, sources said.

According to the WeWork blurb, WeWork Waterloo is “the world's largest co-working space, providing a variety of vibrant facilities for businesses both corporate and startup.”

It adds:

“WeWork Waterloo provides signature WeWork amenities such as private offices, conference rooms, kitchen pantries, and pet-friendly spaces in an iconic riverside setting.

“As an urban work-lifestyle campus, WeWork Waterloo boasts facilities suited to a variety of tastes: inspiring workspaces for both enterprise and small businesses, wellness and fitness offerings, bountiful cafe options championing fresh cuisine, and outdoor spaces to inspire and delight the senses.

“This WeWork's views cannot be beat: the London Eye, Big Ben, and the Thames are all within sight of this incredible co-working space"

Klarna, which also has a Manchester office and is thought to have more than 200 staff in the UK, has offices dotted around Europe including its native Stockholm, Vienna, Prague, Munich and Helsinki.

The European payments giant moved into Holborn WeWork in 2021, before which it was located in London’s Oxford Circus.

Other companies located at WeWork Waterloo, which offers office space and co-working space to rent, include Centaur Media, the media firm, and tech company IBM.
