Spanish cybersecurity startup Zynap raises €5.7M

Zynap, a Spanish startup leveraging generative AI to fight cybercrime, launched with €5.7M in funding from Kibo Ventures and Kfund.

Headquartered in Barcelona with short-term plans for international expansion, Zynap's technology generates false cyberthreats using LLMs. Its standardized solutions ensure integration with existing tools and frameworks to prevent errors, while offering customization to suit specific client and sector needs.

The cybersecurity industry continues to evolve rapidly amid escalating digital threats and the expanding attack surface created by cloud computing, IoT devices, and remote work. Organizations face sophisticated challenges from ransomware attacks, social engineering schemes, and state-sponsored cyber operations, driving robust growth in the security sector. The capital will accelerate Zynap’s technology development and expansion across Europe.

Daniel Solís, CEO and founder of Zynap, is the former CEO and founder of Blueliv. “Our mission is simple yet ambitious: Outsmarting Cybercrime. We believe cybercrime is a challenge that cannot be tackled with generic solutions but requires advanced technology, reliable data, and a disruptive approach,” he said.

“We’ve known the team for over a decade, and it’s inspiring to see them come together again, stronger and more experienced, around such a distinctive and essential product for the cybersecurity industry. We’re thrilled to invest in this team and their new venture for the second time,” said Juan Santamaría, partner at Kibo Ventures.

“We’re investing in Zynap because we see an extraordinary team with a clear vision and a product that solves real problems for large enterprises and MSSPs. We’re excited to be part of this journey,” added Jaime Novoa, partner at Kfund.
