ParkMundo raises €2.3M to connect airport parking with global travel platforms

Travel technology company ParkMundo has raised €2.3 million in seed funding to expand its airport parking marketplace and B2B distribution platform. The investment marks the company's first external funding after more than a decade of bootstrapped growth.

The round was backed by a group of angel investors with experience in the technology and travel sectors, alongside additional financing from Rabobank. The funding follows a rebuild of ParkMundo's technology infrastructure, a rebrand and the development of its B2B distribution capabilities.

Founded in 2013 by Jeroen van den Eerenbeemt as Vliegen en Parkeren, the company was joined shortly afterwards by Martijn Meeuws, now co-founder and CEO. Initially operating as an airport parking comparison website, ParkMundo has since expanded into an international travel technology platform.

Before this investment, ParkMundo had been self-funded and profitable. Today, the company operates across four continents and has facilitated millions of airport parking bookings through a network of more than 850 partners in 15 countries.

The platform connects travellers with airport parking providers in a market that remains fragmented across local operators and booking systems. Alongside its consumer marketplace, ParkMundo has developed a B2B distribution offering that enables airlines, online travel agencies and other travel brands to integrate airport parking directly into their booking processes.

Through APIs and partner integrations, travel companies can offer parking as an additional service within their booking platforms. ParkMundo also uses AI to optimise parking prices, drawing on its experience in consumer bookings to help partners increase parking sales and generate additional revenue.

Martijn Meeuws, co-founder and CEO of ParkMundo, commented on the company's development:

For years, airport parking has been one of the last major travel products operating through fragmented local systems. We believe travellers deserve the same seamless experience they expect when booking flights or hotels. Our ambition is to become the global infrastructure connecting parking operators with travellers wherever they book their trip.

ParkMundo plans to use the new capital to further develop its technology, support international expansion and scale its consumer marketplace and B2B distribution platform through additional partnerships with travel providers.
