Amsterdam-based cloud comms platform MessageBird feeds on 24sessions and Atlanta-based

Inching their way towards an IPO, Amsterdam-based cloud communications platform MessageBird has acquired video platform 24sessions and Atlanta-based customer data platform

No financial details were disclosed.

Through the acquisition of 24sessions, MessageBird adds compliant and encrypted video services to its omnichannel portfolio, and’s technology will be used to synchronise all data sources across MessageBird’s workflow.

The acquisition of 24sessions and arrives on the heels of a $200 million series C funding round, giving it a valuation of $3 billion, and the acquisition of real-time functionality Pusher in a deal reportedly worth $35 million.

The addition of 24sessions’ video platform gives us one of the world’s most comprehensive and powerful omnichannel offerings, and is consistent with our having end-to-end control of the stack in order to create magical experiences for our customers.” 

45 staff members from 24sessions are expected to join MessageBird, while 14 staff members from will join the team. This deal brings MessageBird’s total staffing to close to 500 strong across nine hubs globally.
