The Swiss insurer Baloise has acquired the home moving service Movu. The startup provides those looking to move with quotes from different companies and helps people to organize their move. The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

"With the purchase, we are not only investing in the largest relocation platform in Switzerland. We are acquiring valuable know-how for the platform that Movu has built up. Together with the team, we want to grow their core business and develop new services, "said Michael Müller, head of Basler Versicherung Schweiz, as reported by Deutsche Startups.

Movu was founded in 2014 by Laurent Decrue, Nenad Nikolic and Nicolas Bürer in Zurich. Investors such as Ringier Digital Ventures, b-to-v and Go Beyond have financed Movu in the past.
