Dutch startup Dashmote gets €2.5 million in funding from American and Chinese investors to analyse the web with AI

Dashmote, the AI Insight platform has secured $2.8 million in funding from SP Investment Associates (SPIA), Three Curve Capital (TCC), and Gaomei Yunjing Investments. The funding will be used to introduce the startup’s data and image analytics solutions to larger venues and enterprises and accelerate Dashmote’s global growth.

With its SaaS solution, Dashmote is already helping companies such as Heineken, Coca-Cola, Unilever, and L'Oréal with marketing and upselling efforts by analysing up to 3 billion images that are daily uploaded to the internet for the insights to their audience. The tool is used to discover market trends, operate an effective segmentation of the offer, and measure the audience engagement and sentiment.

Amsterdam-headquartered Dashmote is already profitable and will use the funding specifically to grow its team across all offices, with special focus on New York and Shanghai and plans for further expansion to the US and Asia. On top of that, the funding will be used to expand Dashmote’s product portfolio. “We plan to unlock information in online video material - another potentially inexhaustible source of insights for companies,” explains Dennis Tan, CEO & co-founder of the startup.
