Prague/remote-based AhoyConnect has raised $3 million in a seed funding round. The community data intelligence platform gathers data to help businesses boost acquisition, contribution, engagement, and overall success.
According to the CMX 2021 Community Industry Report, 86 percent of companies surveyed reported that community is critical to the growth and success of their business, but yet, nearly half struggle to put a true measurement on its value.
This is where AhoyConnect steps in. By adding a metrics layer that helps quantify how community opinions impact sales and marketing, the startup gives businesses one centralised overview of its community. The service integrates with Discourse, Slack, InSided, Discord, Twitter, and GitHub, and the company offers an API that will link with internal data sources as well.
In addition to this user actions and behviours overview, AhoyConnect then further filters this data down to an analytics level whereby community managers can identify sales prospects, pinpoint community influencers, and automate a number of repetitive tasks.
“What used to be a Product-Led Growth is now becoming Community-Led Growth. The problem is that organizations lack the understanding of what happens inside their community and the value it brings to the business,” commented CEO and founder Tomas Jasovsky. “Our platform maximizes the value of community data offering visibility and actionable insights to improve customer acquisition, aid in retention, and inform product decisions.”
AhoyConnect’s seed funding round was led by Inovo Venture Partners and KAYA, and saw participation from pre-seed investor Lighthouse Ventures.
