Stockholm’s AR/VR/XR studio for brands Warpin raises €600,000

Providing brands with a one-stop shop for immersive technology solutions, Stockholm’s Warpin has raised €600,000 in seed funding. The studio helps businesses launch VR training courses for employees as well as providing consultancy services on AR projects. With this new investment, the company plans to expand the team size and continue the development of its Xelevate product.

According to a recent PwC study, employees who engage in VR-based training programmes are 4x times more focussed, learn 1.5x faster, and are 27% more emotionally engaged when compared to more traditional e-learning methods.

These figures, when combined with the cost-savings, efficacy, and suitability for remote workers, are a clear win for Warpin. Brands including H&M, Facebook, the Swedish Migration Agency, PostNord, Kry (Livi), and the World Childhood Foundation have all taken notice.

“Demand for immersive technological educational content has skyrocketed over the past year, with companies needing to deliver high-quality training courses to keep employees motivated and on the top of their game,” comments CEO and co-founder Emma Ridderstad.

The €600,000 investment was provided by serial entrepreneurs Katarina von Horn and Alexis Barnekow.

“Businesses are always looking to find out what types of problems these types of innovations can solve. With this investment we are leveling up and shifting away from a consultancy model to a fully-fledged SaaS company, enabling companies to launch genuinely impacting VR training courses for their staff. We welcome Katarina and Alexis as investors, who bring organisational, leadership, and SaaS-specific expertise with them,” concluded Ridderstad.
