Turkish logistics startup Yolda raises $830,000 one month after founding

Turkish digital logistics provider Yolda has raised $830,000 in pre-seed funding, one month after founding. The round was led by Collective Spark, a VC in Istanbul, and joined by several Turkish and European angel investors. The fresh funding will help grow the Istanbul-based team and fuel product development around automation.

The logistics platform is part marketplace, part control panel, part reporting tool. In the marketplace, SMEs and enterprises can receive shipment quotes from local forwarders and logistics companies. Yolda’s control panel allows companies to track the shipments, and reports display the performance of logistics operations. In a press release, founders Volkan Özkan and C. Murad Özsert say they’ve “received strong interest” from companies with varied shipment needs, and that the service already reaches 80 provinces and 922 districts around Turkey. Atıl Erken, general partner at Collective Spark, says the firm believes in Yolda’s ability to “to successfully leverage their position outside of Turkey in the near future.”
