ZappiStore raises £12 million to automate market research

ZappiStore has raised £12 million in a new funding round to further scale its platform for automating many of the market research processes for customers and to purchase research services.

London-based ZappiStore works with research agencies and large brands like Coca Cola and Ford. It said that it will also begin tapping into services for small and medium-sized companies.

“This fundraising will help us achieve our vision of automating the world of market research,” said CEO Stephen Philips.

The funding round was led by Amsterdam-based Prime Ventures. Drake Star Partners served as an exclusive in financial advisor for the round.

ZappiStore has “potential for major disruption” in market research services, said Prime Ventures partner Monish Suri.

“ZappiStore excels in a sector in dire need of disruption – market research and insights,” added Marc Deschamps, Drake Star Partners managing partner and co-CEO. “This large cross-border placement, perfectly exemplifies our deep expertise within the tech and martech space.”

ZappiStore was founded in 2013 by Philips, having previously worked at Spring Research. The company now has offices in Boston and Singapore and recently hired a former McDonald’s exec to oversee the Canadian market.
