Brazilian health tech startup Zenklub has raised €2.8 million in a seed round led by Lisbon-based Indico Capital Partners and joined by Portgual’s 200M Fund and Spanish VC All Iron. With operations between São Paulo and Lisbon, the company is primarily focused on the Brazilian market, though testing new markets (including Portugal) is on the way. The digital health platform coordinates online therapy sessions with more than 500 specialists such as psychologists, psychoanalysts, coaches or holistic therapists. Through the marketplace, people can seek (and rate) their care provider while specialists can book and invoice clients. Zenklub also hosts a variety of educational content around mental and emotional wellness. “We are an emotional health ecosystem, from content journeys to 1:1 sessions with specialists, so that each and every one of us can pursue their own emotional journey,” says Rui Brandão, the health tech startup's CEO. “Our mission has always been to democratize emotional health access and, at a time like this, of solitude and economic recession, we reaffirm our purpose.”
The seed funding will go toward product and engineering, as the startup positions itself more to employers and HR teams.
