Macedonian AI startup Cognism has raised £2 million led by South Central Ventures with participation from Newable Private Investing, the London Co-Investment Fund, and Start-up Funding Club.
The company, with offices in London, develops AI tools for extracting sales and recruitment leads from big data and has 80 paying customers.
“This latest round is central to our strategy of providing the best technology in sales intelligence not only to improve prospecting performance but also to meet a new standard in GDPR compliant contact data with a strong focus on EU and North American contact and context data,” said CEO James Isilay.
The new funds will be invested in expanding the startup’s data research, technology and sales teams in Macedonia and the UK as well as opening an office in the US.
