StatusToday raises $3.91 million to improve employee productivity with AI

AI startup StatusToday has raised $3.91 million led by LocalGlobe with participation from Notion Capital and Firstminute Capital.

London-based StatusToday is building an AI solution that monitors how employees are working to identify risks and breaches and where improvements can be made. The service is free to use but the startup expects to add paid-for premium services in the future, such as deeper insights and actionable feature.

“We’ve already seen lots of changes in where people work, when they work and the range of devices they use. StatusToday is a service designed for the modern workplace, that helps companies understand their effectiveness in this new environment,” said CEO Ankur Modi.

The company, launched last year, was founded through the Entrepreneur First startup builder program. Two hundred companies – mostly in highly regulated industries – have used the service to monitor more than 165,000 employees.

The team is divided between the UK and Ukraine. It will be using the new funds to grow its staff and attract more businesses to use the software.

“We are building the world’s largest information source on employee behaviour and know that companies and employees will both benefit from the insights we can provide. We want to get as many people using it as possible,” added Modi.
