POS service provider Gastrofix raises €8 million from Radeberger brewers

Germany’s Gastrofix, a cloud-based POS service for the hospitality sector, has announced an €8 million Series B round from brewery giant Radeberger Group.

According to Gastrofix, it manages over €2 billion in turnover for its customers annually. It plans to use this new injection of money to expand in the German market as well as internationally.

The company added that it wants to further digitise processes in the hospitality sector where many functions are still carried out manually. The ongoing digitalisation of the industry has been key to the company’s growth, said CEO Dirk Owerfeldt.

Gastrofix already has around 12,000 customers including McDonald’s and Lufthansa. Radeberger Group will give Gastrofix access, potentially, to its 50,000 customers. “We are very pleased to get the Radeberger Group on board, as we gained a strategic investor with extensive sectorial knowledge and a global network of potential customers,” said Owerfeldt.

Clipperton served as Gastrofix’s financial advisor for the deal.
