The Belgian SaaS startup has built an enterprise social network, à la Slack, for knowledge sharing among employees for better collaboration. The market for such platforms is tipped to be worth more than $4.5 billion.
Its clients include French rail operator SNCF and Touring Club Switzerland and it has carried out projects with Capgemini Consulting, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and BNP Paribas.
Elium targets three kinds of customers: service companies, industries like electricity, transport, engineering, and government. The new funds will be used to grow the company’s staff from 20 to 40 and invest in further research on UX, data, and AI.
The backing of Serena Capital will help Elium with targeting the right markets and growing its revenue, according to CEO Antoine Perdaens.
