The Arch Summit is taking place on May 3-4 at the LuxExpo conference centre in Luxembourg. The event has been organised by the Tomorrow Street innovation centre (a public-private partnership between Vodafone and Technoport) and aims to address a gap in the tech event landscape by bringing startups and founders into direct contact with decision makers at large corporates, and in particular their procurement functions.

“We noticed this dynamic a lot,” said Warrick Cramer, CEO of Tomorrow Street. “Startups struggle to make contact with the right people at corporates, while C-level executives often tell me that they don’t get visibility of disruptive startups, in part because the focus is on the existing supply base. Arch intends to change that by bringing these different groups together and creating opportunities for startups to find new customers, and corporates to discover the technologies that will revolutionise their business.”

Up to 10,000 attendees are expected at the two-day event, which will feature pitch competitions, corporate exhibitors, keynote speakers, panels and entertainment.

Three competitions will offer startups the chance to compete for €250,000 in prize money.

The first competition, Disruptive Startups, will see young companies pitch their business in front of an expert panel made up of industry players for a top prize of €150,000. The Women in Technology competition recognises female innovators in the tech space with €50,000 up for grabs for startups led by a female founder, or solutions that benefit females. Finally, the Human Impact prize will award €50,000 to a startup that is developing innovative technology that will improve people’s well-being, equality, and positively impact society at large.

By combining the event with Vodafone’s annual global supplier awards, there will be a high number of C-level executives from well-known tech companies in attendance, many of whom will also display their latest innovations as first seen at the recent Mobile World Congress. Companies in attendance include Vodafone, Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia, ZTE, Accenture, and Kathrein, alongside other representatives from Vodafone’s 15,000 strong supplier base.

Confirmed keynote speakers include Luxembourg Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel; Deputy Prime Minister, Etienne Schneider; Hackers / Founders CEO, Jonathan Nelson; Kathrein CEO, Anton Kathrein, UBS CFO, Georgia Paphiti; and others.

Tickets for the Arch Summit are available now and startups and corporates can register for exhibits here.
