UK-based payment platform AccessPay raises £9 million

Manchester-founded fintech startup AccessPay has landed a £9 million funding round led by Beringea. This is the first investment deal in the North of England Beringea made after opening an office in Manchester recently.

Founded in 2012, AccessPay is a platform for business payments and cash management for finance and treasury teams, which connects corporate back-end systems with global banking and financial services providers. The startup claims to save time and money by increasing efficiency and improving security.

AccessPay claims to have over 500 corporate clients in the UK, including Barclays, the AA, and ITV. The company processes more than 40 million transactions per year.
