London's CreativeX clinches £2.5 million to grow data analytics and brand protection platform

CreativeX, a UK startup formerly known as Picasso Labs, has raised a £2.5 million Series A round led by Beringea. The company will use the fresh funding to develop its AI-driven analytics platform, which helps team’s understand the performance of image and video content within marketing and advertising campaigns. Beyond performance tracking, the platform uses computer vision to analyse visual content to ensure that it complies with brand guidelines, ‘media best practices’ and regulatory requirements. The idea is that the creative process of producing such content requires less manual checking and is automatically kept within certain bounds. Founded in 2015 by Anastasia Leng, a serial entrepreneur and former Google executive, the platform is used by global brands including Leng’s former employer, Unilever, L’Oréal, Heineken and Pepsi. The company, which has offices in London, New York and Portland, Oregon, will also use the new funding to expand its sales and marketing teams.
