London’s event ticketing platform FIXR raises £6.5 million, poised to welcome Britain back to the dancefloor

Digital events and ticketing platform challenger FIXR has closed a Series A funding round topping out at £6.5 million and has announced a significant partnership with REKOM UK, the country’s largest nightclub operator.

The round saw participation from the FSE Group, Armajaro Holdings, Smith and Williamson, and the Carlisle Commerce Group.

No specific details were provided as to what the funding is to be allocated for, but one can presume that FIXR is poised to see an onslaught of user demand, and therefore ramping up product development, sales positions, and overall staff headcount would be in order.

Founded in 2013 and launched in 2015 by Nick Stone and Dom Marmont FIXR has been challenging popular event organising and ticketing solutions since its inception. The platform provides a white label and branded offering for both venues and event organisers.

FIXR caters to both the one-off/occasional event organiser as well as professional party organisations and reports transactions in the tens of millions of pounds of ticket sales moving through its doors.

With the UK slated to go “back to normal” (of sorts) on the 21st of June (This past weekend, Liverpool's Circus Club hosted the county's first no-mask, non socially distanced nightclub event), FIXR is in a prime position to see an explosion of uptake of its offering. In April 2021, FIXR reported an almost 300% increase in activity when compared to April 2019 numbers.

To say that the UK populace as a whole is ready for a good night out, yours truly included, is a bit of an understatement.

Anticipating this mad rush at the ticket office, the UKs largest nightclub operator (per square footage), REKOM UK, and its 42 bars and nightclubs have selected FIXR as their partner of choice.

“We looked at various systems on the market and felt that FIXR was the best fit for our business,” comments REKOM UK. “The platform offers some key operational functions that benefitted both the consumer and venue management allowing a quick and easy customer journey when purchasing alongside a platform that allows the manager to be in complete control of their online offering 24/7.” “We believe that FIXR’s dynamic and flexible technology is well placed to displace the incumbent events platforms and enable both professional and occasional event organisers to manage their events as the UK gets ready for a summer like no other,” adds FIXR CEO Edmund Glover.
