Content production house Jungle Creations has sold its majority stake to private equity firm Livingbridge for £30 million. The London-based firm creates, produces, and distributes content for seven of its own brands, as well as offering branded content campaigns to clients. The Livingbridge acquisition is slated to foster the creation of new brands, up the content output schedule, and propel internationalisation efforts.
Founded in 2014 by Jamie Bolding in a spare room in mum’s house in South London, the company has grown leaps and bounds. From a humble couple of hundred pounds a day, Jungle Creations topped just over £19 million in revenues, with an EBITDA of £2.5 million in 2020. And the rowers keep on rowing, they’re certainly not showing any signs that they are slowing, with the company on track to top £30 million and profits of £5.5 this year.
Combined, the company’s own brands have amassed over 125 million followers, and the Twisted brand recently took home the “Media Brand of The Year” title in the Digiday Media Awards Europe. At the same time, the award-winning branded content team at Jungle Studios works with clients including Bailey’s, GSK, Mondelez and Waze.
And if that we’re enough, Jungle Creations also houses a social-first creative agency, the Wild, which harnesses the hits and misses information gathered from internal campaigns to design, create, and execute data-driven campaigns for brands including Heinz, Major League Baseball, and Silverspoon.
Livingbridge has made a 51% majority stake investment in Jungle Creations, while founder Jamie Bolding and early investor Edge Investments will retain their minority shares.
