Belgium startup FlowTribe, better known for its tech products Accounton and Lawren.io, has raised €1.3 million. With the fresh capital, the platform wants to create a unique ecosystem that connects SMEs, lawyers and accountants on one central platform.
Both products digitise the accounting and legal sectors respectively. The platform ensures that by automating time-intensive tasks, these professions get more time in their own hands.
With Accounton, accountants can save up to 50 minutes per personal income tax return or up to 3 hours per new customer that they connect to their office. More than a hundred accounting firms are already using it
Lawren.io focuses on lawyers and legal departments within large companies. The tool is helping the legal teams to develop GDPR and compliance strategies in order to integrate in a digital and automated way. Anti-money laundering procedures, lead generations and contract drafting are now also automated for both industries.
Dries Wijnen, co-founder of FlowTribe said: “Due to the close cooperation with lawyers and accountants, we have noticed that the gap between the SME and its professional service providers is often large and the communication between the various parties is not always easy. Moreover, there is a proliferation of different tools that do not communicate with each other. With its multi-party platform, FlowTribe enables different parties to connect with each other and to further streamline processes together.”
Going forward, the startup wants to expand its activities into new markets, starting with the nearby countries. Dominic Wijnen, co-founder of FlowTribe added: “The tools have been applied to the Belgian market but can easily be adapted to local legislation and usage.”
