As business travel bounces back from the dead in Europe and beyond, it’s never been more vital for companies to have a real-time visibility that only tech-forward solutions can provide. Attempting to solve the puzzle, Palo Alto-based all-in-one travel corporate card and expense management solution TripActions has acquired Sweden’s Resia.
This acquisition is the company’s third in Europe in the last nine months, following the addition of Berlin’s Comtravo in early February 2022 and Reed & Mackay in May of 2021.
The travel management company in Scandinavia, Resia brings nearly 50 years of regional industry and market expertise to the group and offers ideal positioning for further growth across the Nordics. The corporate travel agency also boasts a strong meetings and events (MICE) offering that drives more than a quarter of Resia’s sales volume.
TripActions co-founder and CEO, Ariel Cohen said: “Resia expands our reach to Scandinavia’s largest market. It also brings extensive experience and a complementary user-first approach. With companies returning to business travel, it’s never been more vital for companies to have the real-time visibility that only tech-forward solutions can provide.”
Talking about the new buy, Michael Riegel, general manager of TripActions EMEA said: “The acquisition of Resia has significantly increased our market share in Scandinavia. Customers will be able to take full advantage of TripActions’ superior product offering while Resia’s strong management team and deep market expertise will help spearhead TripActions’ further growth in the Nordics.”
With TripActions Liquid now in Europe, Resia’s customers will also have access to a truly unified corporate card and expense management solution that leverages contextualised data, such as company policy and trip details, to eliminate expense reporting.
