London-headquartered boutique law firm Chronos Law has received investment from tech startup incubator Founders Forum Group to bring tailored legal services to its global entrepreneur network.
Launched by lastminute.com co-founder Brent Hoberman, Founders Forum Group funds technology startups across a range of industries. However, the amount of investment in Chronos remains undisclosed.
Leveraging the support of Founders Forum Group and its network, Chronos Law will be rebranded as Founders Law and remain an independent business. With an offering spanning fundraising, commercial agreements, employment law and data protection, Founders Law will provide legal support to high-growth startups from pre-seed to post-exit, making the firm a natural extension of Founders Forum Group which seeks to support entrepreneurs at every stage of their journeys.
Founded in 2019 by Tom Bohills, the legal firm offers fintechs a disruptive embedded service model that combines the expertise of private practice with the accessibility and deep knowledge of in-house legal counsel.
Tom Bohills, founder, Chronos Law said: “Most tech businesses require flexible legal services that don’t fit the traditional law firm model. Our services are designed to scale with the ambitious startups we support.”
Carolyn Dawson, CEO of Founders Forum Group said: “We’re delighted to welcome Chronos Law into Founders Forum Group as we look to provide our community of pioneering tech founders with best-in-class legal support that’s customised to their needs.”
Brent Hoberman CBE, executive chairman and co-founder of Founders Forum Group. “Their knowledge of the tech ecosystem combined with their agile approach to legal services make them the ideal legal partner. They truly embed themselves in the businesses they support, empowering founders to grow and protect their ideas.”
