UK-based Journey has secured a €5.8 million investment aimed at faithfully delivering e-commerce web experiences for luxury hotels that support guest acquisition via digital marketing, driving online conversion and booking transactions, namely by lovin', touchin', squeezin' product development and further marketplace expansion.
The investment was provided by private equity firm Averroes Capital which clearly has one message for the startup: Don’t stop believin’.
Founded in 2010, Journey Hospitality counts over 400 luxury hotel property customers worldwide including Claridge’s, Beaverbrook, The Landmark London, and Chewton Glen. According to the startup, over the course of the past year, its annual software revenues have grown by 151%.
Aiming at ultimately delivering guest experiences any way you want it, Journey’s founder and CEO Simon Bullingham commented, “The investment will help us achieve long-term growth and shake up the industry with technology that addresses key e-commerce challenges within hotels. We have worked alongside luxury hotels for over a decade and pride ourselves in truly understanding their business.”
While the wheel in the sky keeps on turnin’ Averroes Capital’s Simon Rowan adds, “Journey Hospitality has achieved impressive results with its existing technology, and is held in high esteem by luxury hoteliers. Our team has deep experience in unlocking business potential and achieving commercial growth, particularly with B2B software companies. We’re looking forward to using our expertise to help grow Journey Hospitality, supporting Simon and his team as they deliver significant value to the hotel industry with their technology platforms.”
