UK-based edtech social enterprise Everybody Counts has secured £500,000 in new funding to scale its inclusive maths learning platform internationally. The round, led by Fuel Ventures, is part of a wider £1.9 million seed raise aimed at tackling one of education’s most stubborn challenges: the global maths attainment gap.
Founded by Andy Ridgway and Judy Hornigold, Everybody Counts delivers personalised, AI-powered maths education that integrates the Singapore Maths methodology with multilingual, adaptive content and embedded teacher training.
The funding will support the company’s continued rollout in both UK and international markets. Over the past 12 months, Everybody Counts has secured over £4 million in contracts, including a UK government procurement deal and partnerships with global development organisations such as ChildFund Korea, KAPE (Kampuchea Action to Promote Education), and YPO.
The platform has been deployed in multiple languages - including Khmer - and is tailored for under-resourced environments. It combines core curriculum instruction with teacher CPD (continuing professional development), making it more viable in regions where trained educators may be scarce.
As part of a £500,000 Innovate UK–funded innovation project, Everybody Counts is also building out neurodiversity-focused tools using insights from cognitive science, educational psychology, and data analytics. The platform includes dyslexia-friendly fonts, interfaces for learners with dyscalculia, and diverse character representations, aligning with global best practices in inclusive education.
“This investment marks an exciting milestone in our journey to make maths mastery globally accessible,” said CEO Andy Ridgway. “We’re thrilled to have Fuel Ventures’ backing as we expand our reach, enhance our platform, and continue empowering both students and teachers worldwide.”
