Ladies and gentlemen, meet the youngest woman promoted internally to the position of General Partner in Europe, Evgenia Plotnikova. Having joined Dawn in 2018 as Principal, she was promoted to Partner in December the following year, making her the firm’s first female to fill the role.
Evgenia brings over a decade’s worth of experience to the table, with prior stints with Atomico, TGP, and J.P. Morgan. She has been named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, is a judge of its finance category, a TechStars mentor, and, if that weren’t enough, been named to Business Insider’s 100 Coolest People in Tech list.
Evgenia has helped raise over $1 billion for Dawn’s funds and has invested in Dataiku, Firebolt, Soldo, Bryter, Harbr, and Granulate.
Evgenia’s promotion follows the recent promotion of Mina Mutafchieva, and demonstrate’s Dawn’s commitment to gender balance, with two female partners out of five, and a 50:50 balance access the investment committee, investment team, and full team.
Dawn General Partner and Founder Norman Fiore comments, “When we founded Dawn nearly 15-years ago, our ambition was to attract individuals, like Evgenia, passionate about working with European companies, like Dataiku, Firebolt, and Soldo, changing the global B2B landscape. On behalf of the entire Dawn team, I am delighted to welcome Evgenia into Dawn's Partnership, and as our second GP promoted internally, we remain true to our long-term commitment to hiring, developing, and recognising exceptional talent.”
