Hamburg-based Exporo, a platform connecting real estate developers with investors, has secured €16 million in funding, says a curt announcement on the company’s website. The new growth capital, which comes from existing investors, will fund the launch of a new digital real estate product at the beginning of Q2 this year. Essentially the fintech platform helps real estate developers crowdfund investment for their projects, and gives small-time investors the chance to buy a stake. One can go with Exporo Stock, which is investing in rental properties and thereby earning money overtime from rental income and value increase, or go with Exporo Financing, a straightforward lending option with a fixed interest rate. Founded in 2014, Exporo has now raised over €75 million from the likes of Partech and e.ventures, according to Crunchbase. This includes a modest €8 million round back in 2017.
