Karnott, an agtech startup founded in Lille, France in 2016, has raised €2.5 million for its connected meter for farm equipment. The round was led by Partech and Leap Ventures, partner from the outset.
Karnott focuses on equipment such as tractors, trailers, seeders, enabling geolocalization and registering operations carried out on farm plots. Its meter is connected to an app that replaces notepads for farmers in tracking and analyzing the activities of equipment.
The startup plans to use the funding to accelerate its expansion in Europe.
“For several months now, we have had a team member in Canada who has been analyzing the market and building our first commercial contacts," said co-founder Alexandre Cuvelier. "We will also crack the European market in autumn by initially targeting the following countries: Italy, Spain, Germany and the UK. The money raised will help us accelerate the development of the company and allow us to recruit new talent.”
