French VC firm Serena announces over €300 million for early-stage startups

French VC firm Serena has launched a new fund, Serena III, bringing the company’s available capital for early-stage and Series A startups to more than €300 million. Managing partner Xavier Lorphelin says Serena III has not only raised more capital than the original target, but also doubled the amount compared to the firm’s last fundraising. “This upward trajectory demonstrates the success of our approach, anchored in our entrepreneurial DNA and in the operational resources we offer the companies in our portfolio,” he added. Over the last ten years, the firm has invested across SaaS, deeptech, data, gaming, consumer tech and fintech, and amassed a portfolio of 40 companies. Recent investments went to Libeo, Powder and Odaseva, all French startups. Though headquartered in Paris, the team offers operational support in New York and Singapore as well.
