Israeli telehealth company Tyto Care raises $50 million for on-demand remote medical exams

Tyto Care, an Israeli-born platform for on-demand remote medical examinations, has raised $50 million in a round co-led by Insight Partners, Olive Tree Ventures, and Qualcomm Ventures, bringing the company’s total funding to over $105 million. Previous investors such as Orbimed, Echo Health, Qure, and Teuza also participated in the round. With a handheld exam kit and mobile app, Tyto Care enables remote medical exams of the lungs, heart, throat and ears, among other exams and vitals. According to a press release, the telehealth company tripled its growth in 2019, performing over 200,000 virtual health exams. Given the current restrictions and burdens on the traditional healthcare system due to COVID-19, Tyto Care is expediting production to fulfill three times more devices than originally forecasted for the coming quarters. The latest funding will fuel commercialisation throughout the US, Europe, and Asia, as well as the rollout of new product capabilities, including AI-driven home diagnostics solutions and other patented technologies.
