Zenjob, based in Berlin, has raised a further €5 million in Series A funding bringing the total funding round to €8 million. The round was led by Acton Capital Partners with participation from Redalpine and Atlantic Labs.
The company has built an automated digital staffing agency. It employs and insures staff and deploys them to companies that need staffing on flexible hours and takes a 25% cut of the jobs.
The new funds will be used to roll out in Hamburg, Munich, and Cologne as well as investing in the product.
“In this very moment, millions of people are underpaid and doing a job they don't like. This is what we want to change with Zenjob. More than half of German students need a side-job and with Zenjob, students can work flexibly alongside their studies,” said CEO Fritz Trott.
“We pay competitive salaries starting at €10 per hour, with an average of €11.50 per hour,” he added.
