Angry Birds 2 hits 30 million downloads in two weeks - and one third of those came from China

Finnish mobile gaming company Rovio may have another Angry Birds hit on its hands.

The 'sequel' to the popular game has been downloaded 30 million times since its release on 30 July, the company announced this morning on Twitter, with self-reportedly one third of those downloads coming from a single country - China. Angry Birds 2 is a fun game with some new twists to the familiar gameplay, but it was widely panned for employing very aggressive tactics to entice people to pony up cash.

Nevertheless, the game was downloaded 20 million times in its first week on the app stores, and has now added 10 million players more in another week.
