Israeli mobile advertising startup Spotad has raised $3.5 million in Series A financing. The round was led by Hong Kong's VLTCM.

Spotad has developed new technology to deliver mobile ads using artificial intelligence. The startup uses machine technology to analyze marketing data from advertisers and user data about different demographics, and deliver the best ads at the right times to mobile phones. The company claims to be the first adtech company of its kind - demand-side platform (DSP) - to enter the Chinese market. It plans to use the new funding to expand in Asia, including Japan, South Korea, and India, and to hire new staff.
