Copenhagen-based recruitment tech startup Relink has raised a $1 million seed round from SEED Capital and a number of other previous investors.
Relink sells APIs that use machine learning to screen candidates and match candidates to job openings. Relink’s technology is based on more than 20 million CVs that it has read, according to the company. The new funds will be invested into sales and R&D.
“We are solving a huge pain point that not only affects companies, but also has the potential of helping governments get unemployed people get back into work faster and connect millions of new talent to the global workforce,” said Relink CEO Ståle Fredlund Husby (pictured), adding that the company has been approached by a number of European governments.
Relink said that it is one of the first companies to release a machine learning platform for job matching. Google Cloud Platform recently released the Jobs API.
“The team behind Relink are on a mission to transform the way jobs and people are matched. On the basis of machine learning and big data they are able to solve an extremely time consuming process for the recruiter,” commented Alexander Horten, investment manager at SEED Capital. “Relink consists of a very experienced founder-team, who have proved to be able to attract some of the best tech-talent. We are excited to be a part of their journey.”
