Ukraine-based family locator app GeoZilla raises $1 million

Ukraine-based family locator app GeoZilla has raised $1 million, according to Firrma. The investment comes from business angels including Dmitri Lipnitsky, founder of Gismart, and other investors whose names were not disclosed. Additionally, Nikolay Davydov of Gagarin Capital has been granted a share of the company and will be joining the company's advisory board.

GeoZilla's geolocation app uses GPS and artificial intelligence to locate family members and even pets, so you can always know that they are safe. According to the company over 500,000 families are already using the app.

GeoZilla is also expected to partner with another company in Davydova's portfolio, Cherry, which provides home security. GeoZilla already collects data from a number of IoT devices for family safety, including smart watches and bracelets for kids, health sensors, smart home devices, and more. The company is also connected to Bluetooth trackers such as TrackR - special devices that prevent the loss of personal belongings such as keys, laptops, bags, TV remotes, and even pets.
