WISE, a biomedical startup based in Milan and Berlin, has received $6.5 million in funding from current investors.

The company was founded in 2011 and is currently working to develop a new generation of implantable leads for Neuromodulation and Neuromonitoring. Their first two products are biocompatible, implantable, and flexible electrodes that can be used to treat various neurological disorders.

WISE says it will use this round of funding to continue the production phase of these products, and specifically one that is designed for percutaneous implantable spinal cord stimulation (SCS).
