Polish payments company PeP acquires rival PayLane

Polish cashless payments company PeP (Polskie ePłatnosci) has acquired PayLane, an online payments company also based in Poland. The deal is for 100% of shares but no other terms were disclosed.

PeP provides cashless point-of-sale payment services for businesses while PayLane focuses on online and mobile payments, operating in 20 countries. The combined company will have an omnichannel remit, taking in mobile and online payments as well as payment terminals.

“After many talks, we decided that PeP is our best choice. They are an ideal partner who will enable us to fulfil our ambitious plans for the future,” said Karol Zielinski, CEO of PayLane, in an open letter to clients.

“Together we will serve you, our clients, in the omnichannel model. We will be able to offer everything you need for your online payments. You will get payment terminals, mPOS, and e-payments.”
