London-based startup Clippings, an interior design platform, has closed a $15.4 million Series B funding round. The investment came from New York-based Advance Venture Partners (AVP).
Clippings helps designers to create, source and manage interior design projects, and create more beautiful spaces. Clippings allows designers to spend less time on administration, such as tracking shipping orders and receipts, so they can spend more time on creative design. Through Clippings, designers can access over 6.5 million products, collaborate with team members, create schedules and specifications, track progress on the project, and consolidate quote requests, orders, invoices, and timelines, and manage delivery and installation.
“Clippings’ goal is to modernize a staid but complex industry, maximising creativity while minimising administrative time,” said Adel Zakout, co-founder and CEO.
With an online spend of only four percent, the multi-billion dollar furniture industry is one of the last to be digitally transformed. Currently, Clippings customers includes interior design teams from Foster & Partners, Hût, BDP, Studio Lav, Field Day Studio, Hostmaker, Intercontinental, Vabel, Lodha, B3 Designers, and YAM.
