Italian sports media group Deltatre buys London-based UX tech company Massive Interactive for up to $127 million

Italy-headquartered Deltatre, a provider of sports media technology and services, has inked a deal to acquire London-based Massive Interactive, which sells a suite of software tools to develop and manage over-the-top (OTT) video user interfaces (source: FT).

The deal is worth up to $127 million, with a combination of cash and conditional earn-out provisions. The companies have targeted a closing date before the end of this month, subject to usual approvals.

Massive Interactive was founded in 1996 and boasts additional offices in New York, Sydney and Prague. Its clients include BBC, Sky, Sony Pictures Television and Deutsche Telekom.
