Strafe, a fan app for esports enthusiasts, has raised $3 million in seed funding round led by BITKRAFT Esports Ventures. The capital will be used to focus on additional user acquisition, expanding its development team, and scaling its platform.
Stockholm-based startup enables users to customise their in-app experience based on personal preferences. This allows them to stay up to date with their favourite teams and players through real-time updates, compete against other users in a social betting game, and access deep statistics before, during, and after matches. By bringing an aggregated overview of what is going on in the major e-sports titles, Strafe connects and engages users in over 150 countries.
Einar Ahlström, CEO and co-founder of Strafe shares the value behind having BITKRAFT for a strategic investor: “BITKRAFT is the leading esports VC in the world and they bring much more than just capital to the table. They are deeply connected with all main entities within the esports community and will help propel our business as we execute on our game plan going forward.”
