Originally a small gathering of peers, Slush is now a bundle of exhilarating programs all around Helsinki. The Slush 2019 teaser gives a glimpse of what to expect at this year’s event, and this year Slush is introducing two official kickoff events.

The first kickoff event, dubbed Press Start, is an event purely focused on game development that opens up the week on November 19th. With Finland being home to one of the top gaming communities in the world, Press Start combines a great group of international stars with today’s newest gaming trends, demos on upcoming games and fan-favourites.

Ready to Launch is the second kickoff event launching on November 20th. Ready to Launch emphasizes the importance of speeding up product development and expertise around Europe. Compared to the US, Europe historically has less product-led technology powerhouses and a longer onset to hire product managers. In an attempt to strengthen European product development, Ready to Launch showcases product leaders sharing their expert knowledge on stage.

The official event begins on the 21st; you can check out the Slush agenda here for the full program of projects on stage, plus a list of speakers.

Among this year’s impressive lineup includes John Collison, co-founder and president of Stripe as well as April Underwood, former Chief Product Executive at Slack and Founding Partner at #Angels.

Slush has also booked some of the best company builders to support the audience through their hands-on, concrete advice. Some speakers include Cameron Adams, Chief Product Officer and Co-founder of Canva, Celia Hodent, former Head of UX at Epic Games and Andreas Weigend, former Chief Scientist of Amazon. Speakers will be addressing real-world problems and investigating the trends and solutions to solve them.

Admittedly, Slush is one of our favourite conferences, and we’re always happy to share the love. So, mark November 21-22 in your calendar and get ready to experience the charming Finnish weather in Helsinki, this year’s events and speakers will make it one to remember.

So, make sure you get your tickets and book flights in time — and see you in Helsinki soon! In the meantime, feel free to ponder around the main highlights of Slush 2019 to get ahead of the crowd!
